چکیده
There are more than 150 ports in China and a considerable proportion of dredged sediments waterways contaminated with heavy metals as the typical contaminants. It is mandatory to remediate prior further resource utilization. The over-arching objective this study was use natural organic acids (oxalic acid, citric tartaric malic acid) leaching agents remove (Cu, Cd, Pb) from sediments. Batch experiments were conducted investigate factors governing removal rate kinetics. Citric acid had best effect on Cu, Pb an optimal concentration 20 mmol/L solid-to-liquid ratio 1:20. average rates 85%, 73%, 56%, 35% for oxalic respectively. kinetics showed that increased rapidly time then gradually reached maximum value which described by Elovich equation model. outcomes suggest effective environmentally friendly agent removing marine

Leaching of heavy metals from dredged bottom sediments
Deposition of sediments on land in atmospheric conditions causes many risks connected with environmental protection. Particularly dangerous is leaching of heavy metals from sediments deposited on land The research aimed at assessment of leaching of heavy metals from dredged bottom sediments potentially disposed on land. In this research it has been shown that the leaching of heavy metals during...
متن کاملLithotrophic Bacterial Leaching of Heavy Metals from Sediments Dredged from the Deûle Canal, France
Lithotrophic bacterial leaching of heavy metals from dredged sediments was studied in semi-pilot scale air-lift bioreactors. Prior to the bioleaching experiments, a physico-chemical characterization of the sediments comprising a sequential extraction study was conducted. The sediments turned out to be highly loaded with heavy metals, and with the exception of managanese, mainly associated to th...
متن کاملFungal Leaching of Heavy Metals from Sediments Dredged from the Deûle Canal, France
Filamentous fungi were used to leach heavy metals from dredged sediments in semi-pilot scale air-lift bioreactors. Prior to the bioleaching experiments, a physico-chemical characterization of the sediments comprising a sequential extraction study was conducted. The sediments turned out to highly contaminated with heavy metals. Most of the studied metals were found to be strongly linked to the m...
متن کاملRemediation of heavy metals contaminated soils by ball milling.
In the present work, the use of ball milling reactors for the remediation of lead contaminated soils was investigated. Lead immobilization was achieved without the use of additional reactants but only through the exploitation of weak transformations induced on the treated soil by mechanical loads taking place during collisions among milling media. The degree of metal immobilization was evaluate...
متن کاملLigand-enhanced electrokinetic remediation of metal-contaminated marine sediments with high acid buffering capacity.
The suitability of electrokinetic remediation for removing heavy metals from dredged marine sediments with high acid buffering capacity was investigated. Laboratory-scale electrokinetic remediation experiments were carried out by applying two different voltage gradients to the sediment (0.5 and 0.8 V/cm) while circulating water or two different chelating agents at the electrode compartments. Ta...
